Don't Hide Away: Community Friendly Cannabis

Summary

  • There are a lot of guys out there searching for a community-friendly way to enjoy cannabis. CBD is a great option to get many of the potential benefits the plant provides without the high brought on by THC. CBD is extracted from the hemp plant and then diluted with a carrier oil like coconut or hemp seed oil.
  • People use CBD for lots of different reasons. CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system, but how exactly is not yet fully understood. The endocannabinoid system is very complex, however, we do know that it is made up of three essential components: endocannabinoids, receptors, and enzymes.
  • As CBD is extracted from hemp plants, it can sometimes smell a bit like weed. This is because Cannabis plants are packed full of rich terpenes. These aromatic compounds can be found in many plants, including cannabis, pine, lavender and even orange peel. It’s what gives plants their characteristic scents and these molecules are naturally produced to help protect them in the wild.
  • Some CBD products can have a bit of a cannabis smell, but there are some products which don’t, like Cannadips pouches. These convenient dips are not only incredibly discreet, they also taste amazing and contain what we believe is some of the best CBD in the US. They are the perfect solution for the men out there wanting to use a cannabis product when out and about in public.

Yes, some CBD products can have a hemp smell, but there are plenty of products that do not. For example, Cannadips offer a CBD solution housed in a convenient dip that you can easily place between your upper lip and gums. Not only will you get a decent dose of what we consider to be America's finest CBD, but you'll also experience the long-lasting taste of the flavor you choose.

Introduction

In an ideal world, every man in America should be able to spark up a joint wherever he likes. But unfortunately, the reality is most guys need to be discreet when out and about in the community when using cannabis. This doesn't mean you can't enjoy using any products, but you'll need to be smart about it.

One of the easiest ways to get some cannabinoids into your system when you're out and about is opting for a CBD dip product. CBD is gaining in popularity by the minute as more people are discovering it. It's probably the most widely socially accepted form of cannabis at the moment – especially if you're being watched by some "Karen" while playing ball with the guys. There are also THC pouches for those movie nights when you want to up the ante at the movie theater discreetly.

There are now tons of ways to take CBD without everyone getting into your business. If you've been thinking about how to use cannabis more discreetly and are interested in the potential of CBD, keep reading.

What is CBD?

You may be a seasoned weed smoker or perhaps completely new to cannabis, but it's worth knowing the basics about cannabinoids. CBD is short for cannabidiol, a chemical in the Cannabis sativa plant (also known as cannabis or hemp). There have been around 100 identified chemicals in the plant so far, which are known to be cannabinoids.

The cannabinoid most of you are probably familiar with is THC (Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), which is famously known to cause that mellow high and found in Cannadips THC. On the other hand, CBD is extracted from hemp – a cannabis plant that only contains trace amounts of THC (not enough to get you high). It is not psychoactive, thus making it the perfect anytime-anywhere dose.

CBD oil is made by being extracted from the hemp plant and then diluted with a carrier oil like coconut oil or hemp seed oil. The way CBD is extracted will result in different types of CBD. The main kinds of CBD you'll come across on the market are full-spectrum, broad-spectrum and isolates. If you want to stick to pure CBD (without other cannabinoids or THC), go with an isolate option.

Why Do People Use CBD?

There are a bunch of reasons why people take CBD. First, if they're a fan of cannabis in general, they'll likely use CBD when out in public because it tends to be more socially accepted – people won't be smelling weed as they walk past, for example. But there is also a whole other dimension to why CBD could be a good thing to add to your day due to the way it interacts with your endocannabinoid system.

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) was discovered in the 1990s by a team of researchers when they were exploring the effects of THC. The ECS is a super complex cell signaling system that plays a role in regulating a lot of your body's functions and processes.

The ECS exists in your body, even if you don't use cannabis, but it has been found that cannabinoids can interact with it (including CBD). There are three essential components to the ECS: endocannabinoids, receptors, and enzymes. Here is a bit more about each of them:

  • Endocannabinoids – These are similar to cannabinoids, but these molecules are made by your body. Scientists have identified two key endocannabinoids: anandamide (AEA) and 2-arachidonoylglyerol (2-AG)..
  • Receptors – Endocannabinoid receptors are found throughout the body, and endocannabinoids bind to them to indicate that the ECS needs to do something. The two main receptors are known as CB1 and CB2. The effects of the endocannabinoid binding to either receptor will depend on where it is located and which one it connects to.
  • Enzymes – Once the endocannabinoids have done their job, enzymes are responsible for breaking them down. Fatty acid amide hydrolase (breaks down AEA) and monoacylglycerol acid lipase (breaks down 2-AG) are the two primary enzymes responsible for this.
  • The ECS is highly complex, and even the top scientists have yet to figure out precisely what it does. However, they do know that cannabinoids (including CBD) interact with the ECS and do so in a way that differs from THC. Some have a theory that CBD helps stop the endocannabinoids from being broken down, so they have longer to have an effect on your body. Others believe that CBD binds to a receptor that hasn't been discovered yet. Whatever the case, there have been a ton of reputed reports that CBD has helped with a lot of common issues.

How To Take CBD When Active In The Community

You may now be wondering whether you'll give off a CBD smell if you start using it. Of course, the last thing you want to ask yourself when out in public with your family is, "do I smell like weed?"

So, does CBD have an odor? Yes, some CBD products can have a hemp smell, but there are plenty of products that do not. For example, Cannadips offer a CBD solution housed in a convenient dip pouch that you can easily place between your upper lip and gums. Not only will you get a decent dose of what we consider to be America's finest CBD, but you'll also experience the long-lasting taste of the flavor you choose.

CBD pouches are not intended to be swallowed, so you will need to throw them in the garbage once you're done. But this is no big deal. If some nosey person is staring at you, you could just be spitting out your gum. However they are spitless so no need for a dip cup or to make a scene. Cannadips pouches are probably one of the most enjoyable and discrete ways to use CBD, whether you're at home, on the golf course, or out with your family in the community.

Some other producers do make products that will have a CBD smell. This is because CBD comes from cannabis plants, and depending on the type of CBD you buy, it could contain a load of terpenes (or terps, as we call them). Terps are aromatic compounds found in plants – including cannabis, pine, lavender and even orange peel. These compounds are what give plants their characteristic scents. Plants produce terps to help protect them in the wild, such as infectious germs and animal grazing.
